Stéphanie Bosch

Stéphanie Bosch has a degree in bioengineering at Gembloux Agro-Bio Tech, University of Liège (Belgium). She found the opportunity to intern in the vanEngelsdorp lab, based in the University of Maryland, for three months during the summer of 2014 to accomplish her Master Thesis. Her project dealt with the effect of the treatments against Varroa destructor on colony losses. She developed a varroa mite control strategy for small beekeepers in temperate regions. For this purpose, she analyzed three years of data collected from Bee Informed Partnership surveys. She discovered and she fell in love with the fascinating honey bee world while working on her project.
